      <image:title>About Us</image:title>
<image:caption>Welcome to Symphony Kennel! Thanks for taking the time to stop by! We live on 20 acres out in the rolling hills of eastern Iowa. We enjoy dogs and bringing you a new furry friend! I, Sharon bought my first Bernese Mountain Dog at 18. She was a wonderful dog even though she loved jumping fences! I had 1 litter of puppies with her and due to an unfortunate turn of events I had to re-home her when she was 3. My parents raised a few imported, champion English Golden Retrievers and I loved their temperament too! When we got married in 2015 we brought a Golden with us and have enjoyed raising our Goldens. Although I always loved the Bernese but wasn’t sure if it would ever work out to own one again. Their calm, teddy bear temperament was impressive, especially with young children. The Goldens are wonderful dogs, but they are definitely more active then a Bernese. Our brother-in-law introduced us to the Bernedoodles and really thought we should try it since we already had the experience of raising puppies. Bella came to us in January of 2020. She has been amazing. Our 1, 3 and 4 year old will play all kinds of games with her and she just takes it in stride. She’ll take belly rubs and attention over a walk any day! It’s a little different raising a mixed breed since all we’ve done are the titled purebred dogs. Although they aren’t registered, we are still making sure the parents health and bloodlines are exceptional. Our goal is to give you a healthy puppy that will be a wonderful addition for many years!
